Great hair is in stylist Rebecca Alaniz’s DNA. “When people compliment my hair, I say, you haven’t seen my mother’s hair; it’s beautiful, big and always done up.,” he says Alaniz who was raised in Texas and grew up admiring her mother’s makeup and hair, which was always done in the colorful style that is worn during Mexican traditional dance, Baile folklórico. “ I would watch the way she would curl her hair and was so fascinated by her beauty routine from head to toe,” Alaniz says. “There’s baby photos of me where I have pink curlers in my hair holding a can of hairspray in my hand.”
